The event is just one of thousands that took place across the country to remember those who never made it back down New York City's twin towers.
About a dozen firefighters, including a firefighter from Sutherland's Volunteer Fire Department, participated.
North Platte firefighter and emergency medical technician Justin Thompson organized the event. He says hopes to make it a community wide event next year.
