NORTH PLATTE, Neb. KNOP Zachary Batt was in video conference Thursday morning as he told judge Michael Piccolo he wants a speedy proceedings.
He's accused of holding police officers in a nine hour standoff last spring.
Batt made the request in Lincoln County court and wants a speedy trial on his three charges.
He is charged with attempted second degree murder after he fired a caliber rifle in the direction of another man in April.
He also faces use of a weapon to commit a felony and terrorist threat charges, as well as several drug charges.
Batt was previously found competent to stand trial.
His preliminary hearing is set for January 3rd at 10 am.
