Man who led law enforcement on a manhunt Monday night appears in Lincoln County Court

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. KNOP-TV A North Platte man who led police on a seven hour manhunt Monday night was arraigned in Lincoln County Court Tuesday.

37-year-old Aaron Kirts appeared in Lincoln County Court before Judge Joel Jay for resisting arrest at Kansas Point Campground.

The charge is a Class III A Felony and is punishable up to three years in prison, a ten thousand dollar fine or both.

Kirts is also facing several charges, including a failure to appear second- degree trespassing.

His bond was set at ten percent of $150,000.

Kirts is due back in court for his preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. on February 27th.
