NORTH PLATTE, Neb. The Nebraska Loves Public Schools film team was at the North Platte Community Playhouse.
However, they weren't there to film. Rather, to answer questions.
The team showed the second episode of The Mind Inside: Teenage Mental Health.
The film addressed real stories about teenage mental health and suicide as a result of cyber bullying.
The 30 minute episode told the story of Ralston's Reid Adler who took his own life after being bullied on social media.
They showed research linking the amount of time spent on social media to increased depression and anxiety.
One of the studies said 70% of teens say anxiety and depression are a major issue among people their age.
One student said the longest he was able to put his phone away was an hour.
Director Sally Barrett Nellson is currently working on an episode in North Platte and praised Officer Jeremiah Johnson and Brandy Buscher for the hard work they do for the schools.
"We've been doing this project now for about ten years," said Nellson.
"I've been in a lot of places and seen a lot of people. I would say these two individuals are probably the most passionate and dedicated people I've ever seen. They would do anything and give anything for the kids in this district. As a parent that's all you can ask."
