Mock airport disaster drill

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. If you drove by the airport in North Platte on Saturday morning you may have seen emergency crews putting out a fire.

The fire fighters and paramedics held an airport disaster drill.

First responders filled the west end of the tarmac to train on a fake airplane.

The drill involved a plane crash with numerous injuries to the passengers.

The first responders had to communicate with dispatch and the hospital as a part of the training.

The mock airport disaster drill finished at approximately 10:30 a.m.
