NORTH PLATTE, Neb. KNOP Nebraska Department of Transportation snow plows crews were buy clearing the roads Thursday after a bomb cyclone took its grip on parts of the Cornhusker state.
It's the twenty-ninth time roads crews in district six have gotten behind the wheel to clear the snow on the interstate and the highways this season.
Craig Bristol is on his twenty-seventh year with the department and says every storm has its challenges.
Bristol was one of eight drivers who were on the road since midnight. He says road conditions were treacherous due to the blowing snow and icy conditions, but his job is made easier when the interstate is closed.
"Some people don't slow down they want to go as fast and they can as they start wrecking after a while," he said.
