Nebraska's governor plans another trade mission focused this time on Mexico.
May is beef month in our state. Nebraska governor Pete Ricketts is using the opportunity to unveil the initial details for his next trade mission .
Ricketts says we are an agricultural state and it creates jobs. He says we have the best beef in the world, thanks to our farmers and ranchers.
Ricketts met with President Trump earlier this spring to talk about U.S. trade deals like NAFTA, and the importance of developing trade relationships with Mexico.
Ricketts says, "We want to say thank you to the Mexican people for their business and we are highlighting the great opportunities we have to expand that relationship. I will do a trade mission in August so if anyone has an interest contact the department of agriculture. We would love to have you join us to be able to help open up more opportunities."
