SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY, Neb. - (KNEP) - Nebraska State Patrol arrest two in Scotts Bluff County after finding drugs in the trunk tire compartment.
According to court records, an officer witnessed a maroon car turning around at a median on Highway 71 without using a turn signal. As the traffic stop was conducted, officers identified Scott Biery driving the car with Ramona Prime in the passenger seat.
After officers realized their stories were not matching up they called in a service dog to perform a sniff and located an odor coming from the driver side rear wheel.
A search produced three separate containers filled with a total of 57.4g of marijuana along with 13.4g of methamphetamine. Officers also located two syringes, one was loaded with suspected meth, a meth pipe with residue a mixing shot glass with residue along with baggies.
Biery told officers the marijuana was his and he told Prime to put her stuff next to his inside the trunk.
Both were taken into custody on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver, possession of marijuana more than one once less than a pound and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center a search of Prime resulted in three baggies with suspected meth residue inside her sock.
