Nebraska lawmakers okay after train accident in Virginia

LINCOLN, Neb. – Two Nebraska lawmakers were on a train carrying members of Congress to a Republican retreat in West Virginia, but neither were injured.

The accident occurred near Charlottesville, Virginia.

Bacon tweeted, "I am on the train, but I am okay."

Fortenberry tweeted, "My family and I on train to a retreat. Hit a garbage truck. Jarring, but everyone ok on train. Severe injury in truck. Maybe a death. Fr. Conroy there with injured. A number of Members of Congress who are doctors tried to help."
