Nebraska beats Illinois, 42-38

Nebraska opens Big Ten Conference play with a win to the Illinois Fighting Illini in Champaign.

Nebraska found itself in an early 14-0 hole as Illinois scores on the second play of the game and then tacks on another touchdown with 8 minutes to go in the 1st quarter.

Nebraska found the end zone with Adrian Martinez hitting Jack Stoll with a 6-yard touchdown. Wan'Dale Robinson also finding the end zone for the Big Red in the 2nd quarter. The Huskers were down 21-14 at halftime.

The teams went back and fourth in the second half. Nebraska took it's first lead of the game 42-38 midway through the fourth quarter. Wan'Dale Robinson notched his third rushing touchdown of the game to put the Huskers up.

Nebraska improve to a 3-1 record.

The Huskers are facing Ohio State at home next week. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
