New restaurant to serve the "Good Life" on the bricks

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. A new restaurant is bringing life to downtown North Platte.

Good Life on the Bricks officially opened its doors on the corner of 4th and Dewey Streets on Saturday.

The staff of 25 not only specializes in alcoholic beverages, but also in macaroni, barbeque and pizza.

Co-owner and general manager Zach Hiebner says the restaurant's name plays off the slogan that Nebraska is known for.

"We here to stay and we hope that our presence will encourage the growth and development of downtown North Platte and be an addition to the community because North Platte needs something like this and we're hoping we're that," Hiebner said.

The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The bar is open until 1 a.m.
