North Platte High School hosts district play production competition
Seven schools took the stage at North Platte High School Wednesday for the NSAA District Play Production for the C1-6 competition.
These performances are 'one acts' from various stage plays performed in 30 minutes or less.
At 1:00 Wednesday afternoon, Hershey High School performed "Cinderella" by Herbe Danum under the direction of Tyler Cronin.
Hershey senior Varsha Huebner plays Julie, a well-wisher, and said there are several things she gets out of being involved in theater.
"Friendship and you get to know everyone, you get to have a good time, you get to meet a lot of new people and every one act play is very nice to one another," said Huebner.
Hershey senior Samuel Mackley plays Darcy, who is one of the princes' friends, and said if anyone is thinking about getting involved in performing, he recommends it.
"Go for it," said Mackley, "You can always be part of the crew if you want, and if you want to act it's always fun and just don't be afraid to put yourself out there and just get on stage and have fun."
There are seven schools in the C1-6.
The other productions were as follows:
Gordon-Rushville: Aeternum Proliem
Ainsworth: War at Home
Bridgeport: Storm in the Barn
Chase County: The Case of Alex Hansen
