NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - North Platte Public Schools administrators will be receiving an incentive for the upcoming school year. The school board approved of an administrative salary package that will consist of a 1.4 percent increase in salary.
The 21 school administrators will also have the option of taking a single heath insurance plan. School board members hope the package will help retain current administrators and recruit high quality administrators in the future.
Executive Director of Finance Facilities and Operations Stuart Simpson said, "We look at providing incentives for our administrators that hopefully can keep them here and as we keep them in the buildings and working with our staff, there's longevity of improving growth."
School board member say they are open to making changes that will benefit the school district and their students.
