Each year the department throws a party with local families who have adopted a child from foster care.
Kids and their families were able to eat pizza, play lazer tag and go bowling.
Each family also got to take a new board game home as a prize.
Earl Rosenberd and his wife said they are grateful for their children.
"Well, for us we've basically had both of them since they were younger," said Rosenberd.
"They were in foster care with us for almost 2 years."
Judge Joel Jay was in attendance and wore a Superman belt buckle to honor Superman who was also adopted.
