NORTH PLATTE, Neb. People from all over the State of Nebraska made their way to Cody Park on Saturday.

It's the Nebraska State Horseshoe Tournament.

It's the sixth year North Platte has hosted the competition.

80 of the best pitchers in the State competed for the title.

There are five divisions including Men's, Women's, Elder's, Cadet's and Junior's.

Omaha pitcher Mike Tripp was one of today's participants. He said horseshoes are somethings he enjoys all year round.

"We have an indoor league too that we play during the winter time so we play all year-round,' said Tripp.

"It's fun and you can get away from everybody. It's something to do without getting in trouble."

The tournament continues through Sunday.

They are located on the far east side of Cody Park for those interested in watching.
