RSVP dedicates tree to deserving volunteer
Members of the community and the North Platte Area Ready to Serve Volunteers dedicated a tree to honor the late Thomas Gorman.
Gorman was an RSVP volunteer for 46 years.
Mayor Dwight Livingston shared his personal sentiments about Gorman then read a proclamation.
Gorman's wife, Lynda Gorman, also spoke and shared her appreciation for the people who attended the dedication.
Gorman said if Thomas were here he would have one simple message for everyone.
"Volunteer. Continue to volunteer in any organization that you can. Continue to contribute to your community," said Gorman.
The tree is located on the north side of the RSVP building.
