NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - With the strong winds gusting as high as 30 mph, areas of blowing and drifting snow will be possible through our Thursday morning, this means road conditions can still be poor as we head into the afternoon.
On Thursday as the system moves out, we'll look for mostly sunny skies with cold and blustery conditions. Highs only get into the teens and 20s. Wind chill values will drop into the single digits and teens for most of the day, before falling below zero by Thursday evening as the wind begins to relax.
Friday will be slightly warmer, with highs in the 20s and 30s, but with another chance for some light accumulating snow with mostly cloudy skies.
The weekend starts out cold - with highs on Saturday around 20° with mostly sunny skies. The weekend finishes nice - with highs on Sunday climbing into the upper 30s to low 40s, but with another chance for some snow late Sunday into early parts of Monday.
