NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - North Platte City Council is getting an opportunity to regulate e-cigarettes and the nicotine products that go with them.
The North Platte Police are proposing a new law that would allow them to regulate the possession the sale and the training of those products related to vaping.
Ordinance 130.040, 130.041 and 130.042 currently regulates the sale of tobacco products, the possession of tobacco products and the training required prior to selling tobacco products.
The item of discussion the city council will take a look at is whether to amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of North Platte to provide for the regulation of electronic nicotine delivery systems and alternative nicotine products.
The item will be discussed at the City Council meeting scheduled for December 3rd.
