Semi trailer catches fire at Brady I-80 eastbound rest area

If you were traveling on I-80 around 8 a.m. on Saturday you might have seen a fire at the eastbound Brady rest area.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, a semi trailer caught fire.

The truck was able to quickly disconnect as to avoid further damage.

It's believed that fire was started by overheated brakes.

The trailer was filled with produce.

While the driver and semi truck were safe, the trailer was totaled.
