NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-- Senator Bob Krist touched down in North Platte to make his case to be the next Governor of Nebraska.

The retired Air Force Will Pilot is flew a Merlin III B around the state today, October 18th, 2017, for a listening tour.

Krist recently announced he would run as an independent, forming his own party named Nebraskan's United.

The round table discussion was a chance for Krist to reach out to leaders in communities, millennials around the state and listen to concerns.

He believes that forming a non-partisan party will help address the concerns of all Nebraskans..

"Well I'm going to listen first of all and that's important because I don't think people are listening and they're not having a discussion about the things that are important to Nebraskans. I think we need to start talking about non-partisan issues again," says Krist.
