NORTH PLATTE, Neb. Gubernatorial Democratic candidate Senator Bob Krist visited North Platte on Saturday as he ends his campaign trail. He traveled throughout western Nebraska as the midterm election campaign comes to a close.
Senator Krist says he thinks it's important to bring unity to the Capitol. But, the main issues he focused on were high property tax and funding for education. He says Nebraska needs to prioritize where it's money is going.
"I think the real answer at this point is to re-prioritize where that money is going," he says.
"Fund education and take the burden off of the property owner and the property tax payer and that's essentially it."
Early voting ends November 5th and the General Elections are November 6th.
