Dennis Hoffman is the owner of the Hoffman Ranch.

Hoffman is one of four inductees to be chosen.

The American Hereford Association Committee makes the decision of who is worthy of the honor.

Hoffman said even though it was only four people, this class is bigger than most.

He and his son Jason moved from Northern California to Thedford 11 years ago to make their ranching dreams come true.

"If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough," said Hoffman.

"I believe in that. We do things that scare us- the wives will tell you that."

His son, Jason, said they knew moving would be risky.

"You stick your neck out there further and there's definitely a lot more risk," said Jason.

"But, I don't think for us and our personality- the size we were and where we want to be were two different things."

Dennis has thoroughly enjoyed living and working in Thedford and is honored to be chosen as an inductee into the American Hereford Association Hall of Fame.
