NORTH PLATTE, Neb. The streets of North Platte looked like the wild, wild west Saturday afternoon. It was the Nebraskaland Days Parade.

Thousands of people lined the streets.

Kids were waited anxiously for people walking in the parade to throw candy.

The theme for the parade was the Wild, Wild West.

Miss Rodeo Nebraska Eva Oliver was one of the faces of the event.
She said she loves having Miss Rodeo Nebraska's Lil' Cowgirls accompany her.

"Part of Miss Rodeo Nebraska is we invite 30 little girls to spend a day at Mid-Plains Community College," Oliver said.

"We do a little clinic for them and talk to them about how to be a rodeo queen. They come and represent the Lil' Cowgirls program throughout the pageant, Nebraskaland Days, my send-off and coronation. They do a lot of work and put in a lot of hours for Miss Rodeo Nebraska."

The parade was filled with various businesses, churches and other organizations.

It started at Bryan and 4th Street and ended at Dewey and H Street.
