NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - By Friday morning some freezing rain mixing with snow could lay down a couple hundredths of an inch of ice in Eastern portions of the region with Lexington seeing some of the better chances for our area.
As the system pushes through, spotty areas of rain or a freezing rain mix may occur through Friday early afternoon before temperatures climb. North Platte may be on the western fringe of a trace of snow through Friday night, but clearly most of the moisture and snowfall will be over the Tri-Cities and Eastern Nebraska.
Look for strong winds in the wake of this storm on Friday night with gusts in the 35 to 40+ mph range. The track of this storm could change, so stay up to date with the latest forecast if your have travel plans.
