three sent to hospital following accident on highway 26

MINATARE, Neb. (KNEP) A head on collision sends three to the hospital. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed at this time.

Minatare fire department was dispatched to Hwy 26, 2 miles south of Minatare for a head on collision between two cars.

The roads were diverted to one lane for crews to clear debris. The dark highway, covered in clanking bits of automobile that safety crews were clearing.

“We’re asking everybody to slow down and be safe tonight.” Said Lori Lore, Safety Officer for Minatare Fire Department “I do know that Scottsbluff Rural just got paged to another injury accident on Minatare road and Highway 26.”

Lore said today's constant light rain may have contributed to the hazardous road conditions. “I don’t know if the roads are getting slick, or what it is, but please slow down.”
