NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-- Nathan Baxter will compete in the first ever Ninja Warrior Challenge at the Cornhusker State Games.

Nathan says his aim was to challenge himself as an athlete and not just a body builder.

Athletes in the ninja warrior competition will have to complete a rigid obstacle course in about 3 minutes or less.

"I just wanted to mostly see if I could do it and complete the course without failing obviously. We do a lot of pull ups and a lot of upper body and lower body stuff; a lot of jumps too. You just dont know whats going to be there so might as well be ready for everything. I haven't learned everything about it yet but I learned it takes a lot more grip strength than I've ever done before. I'm not use to it yet," says Baxter.

Nathan will compete on Saturday, July 21st.
