#3 Mullen played #2 Humphrey St. Francis in the Class D2 semi-final game Friday afternoon.

After one quarter, the Flyers led 15-10, but that quickly grew, leading 35-17 at the half. The Flyers ultimately won 68-38.

"We ran into a fantastic team today," said Mullen head coach Clint Svoboda. "We did not have our best night shooting. Without something like that, you're not going to get a win against that club."

Shelby Welsh and Taylor Svoboda were the only two Broncos players to hit double digit points, with 13 and 11, respectively.

"I'm very proud of our squad, we've got another game tomorrow, they worked their tails off to this point and until that clock ran out today. So, nothing to hang our heads on, and we're moving on," Clint Svoboda said.

The Broncos will play Falls City Sacred Heart in the third place game on Saturday. Tip-off is at 9:00 a.m. CT at Lincoln East high school.
