Bulldogs blank Huskies in double header

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte soccer teams both started their seasons hosting Aurora on Saturday.

In the girls' game, the Bulldogs put the ball in the back of the net early and often, beating the Huskies 10-0 on a mercy rule.

Gracie Haneborg had five goals, Callie Haneborg added three of her own, Mei Hou and Kailtyn Evans each added one.

"Today makes time number three that we've stepped out on the field. We've got some really talented, aggressive girls who really love the game of soccer. It's just a group of girls who are very consistent," said head coach Sarah Kaminski.

The boys' game was not as high scoring, but the Bulldogs did come away with the win, 2-0.

Derrek Ramos scored the first goal of the game in the first half, then with under ten minutes left in the game, Collin Manzano scored.

Both teams return to action Tuesday, Mar. 19, at Kearney.
