Fan reminders for Nebraska's baseball scrimmage

LINCOLN, Neb. The Nebraska baseball team hosts Kansas in an exhibition scrimmage at Hawks Field on Saturday, starting at 11:45 a.m. (CT). The teams are scheduled to play 14 innings.

Gates will be open to the public, but concession stands will be closed. Score won’t be kept for the scrimmage, as pitch counts could be used to roll over certain innings.

The matchup between the former Big 12 foes marks NU’s second and final scrimmage of the fall. The Huskers previously hosted Wichita State on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Nebraska’s annual Red-White Series begins with Game 1 on Friday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m., at Hawks Field. Game 2 is set for Thursday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m., before the finale on Friday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. No game will take place on the previously announced Saturday, Oct. 27 date.
