First night of Legion baseball in the books

Legion baseball started Thursday, with the first games in action for the 2020 season.

In Hershey, the Hershland Trojans face the Imperial Horns in a juniors doubleheader. The Horns won game one, 13-0, and won game two 12-1.

Out in Gering, Ogallala and Gering had a juniors and seniors doubleheader. The Ogallala juniors scored two runs in the seventh inning to pull out the win, 4-2. In the seniors game, Ogallala's Jordan Callihan pitched a complete game, but the Adams Bank and Trust seniors were held to just three hits in the 4-1 loss.

In Alliance, North Platte FNBO Nationals faced the Alliance Spartans. In game one, the Spartans scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game, but the Nationals scored in the top of the seventh, and won 3-2. Game two was all Nationals, as they scored six runs in the first two innings, and cruised to the 10-4 win.
