OGALLALA, NEB. (KNOP)- Clayton Murphy is a senior for the Ogallala's Indians football team. He and his family moved to the town of Ogallala from Colorado before his Sophomore year and he attributed football to helping him fit in and find his scene during a transition period that can be tough for some.
Murphy has a skill set that makes him standout among his teammates, but, he says without them, his success would not be possible. "I've considered myself to be as good as my teammate, how good they are depends on my success. My O-Line, receivers, without them there's no stats." Murphy will continue you playing football at the next level, he committed to Chadron State next season to play quarterback. Although playing at the Division II level next year, Murphy fielded multiple offers from powerhouse Division I programs, including the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Several factors came into play when decided where to head next Fall, but playing time and proximity to his hometown were the leading contributors.
