St. Pat's and Paxton will go head to head on Friday night at the McDaid gymnasium, each team entering the game with a record of 18-2.
"It's a pretty big game, we have a good team coming in. We gotta be able to come out and play really well", said Charles Aufdenkamp, a senior on this years St. Pat's team.
The Irish have used a strong team chemistry to help propel them to the successful season that they have had.
"We work together really well", said St. Pat's senior Dolan Branch. "All the positive energy going through the team has been good, we're just trying to keep it going."
It's no secret to the players how significant of a match up this is. For Jody Rhodes, head coach of the Paxton team, he wants his team to treat this game like any other.
"I want us to approach this game like we approach any other and that's the best team on our schedule", said Rhodes.
After tonight, each team will have just one regular season game remaining. So the winner tonight has the tie breaker should these two end up with the same record come the district tournament.
