Hastings will study nursing at Midland, and wants to specialize in either trauma or pediatrics.

"They have a really great nursing program, and their tennis program works well with the academics," Hastings said. "They showed me the YMCA, and it's one of the biggest ones in the United States, so that was really impressive. The dorms are pretty nice, and also the buildings, and it just got me excited."

Hastings plans on playing singles for the Warriors.
