Knights drop both their games Saturday

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - After starting the Subway Invite with two three-set wins, the Knights did have the same success on Saturday.

In game one, the Knights faced Durham College, from Ontario, Canada. The Lords took the first set 25-22, and the Knights responded in set two, winning 25-21. However, the Knights fell in sets three and four, 25-16, 25-21, losing the match 3-1.

Alysen Daniels and Gabby Menghini each had 14 kills in the loss, and Erica Hopping provided 48 assists.

In the second game, the Knights fell to Eastern Wyoming College in three sets, losing 25-20, 25-11, and 25-22. Menghini had nine kills in game two, and Hopping had 27 assists. Sydney Mullin added four blocks in the loss.

The Knights move to 2-2 on the season, and will play Northeastern Junior College on Aug. 28, at home at 7 p.m.
