Knights fall in close game to WNCC

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNOP) - NPCC men's basketball traveled to Scottsbluff Tuesday to take on WNCC.

The Knights held a lead late, but the Cougars took it back, and DaVonte Tharpe's three-point shot with five seconds left to tie the game was off track, and the Cougars won 76-72.

Tim Johnson led the Knights with 27 points, also grabbing 12 rebounds. Tharpe and Luke Christen each had 11 points.

The Knights fall to 6-13 on the season, and are back home hosting Central Community College on Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
