NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP)- The NPCC women's basketball team was without leading scorer Madisyn Francis for their game tonight against Colby Community College, and it showed.
The Knights shot poorly in the first half, hitting only 19% of their shots, good for 17 points.
Nahatabaa Nacona lead the team in scoring with ten points, and Jordan Novinger lead the team with five rebounds.
After the game, head coach Jeff Thurman was disappointed in the team's performance after their win last week.
It just wasn't our day, we didn't come play with effort, energy. Just no passion. We had some players that came back from injury, so I guess that was the only positive, they got some time today. We had a great game last Saturday and we just come out here and we just didn't have our best effort," Thurman said.
The Knights lost 71-42, they fall to 2-6.
The Knights are back in action Nov. 30 hosting York College JV.
