South Loup boys held a four point lead at the half, but used a second half surge to pull away and win by double digits, 46-32. Jace Connell played a key role in the offense down the stretch, with key baskets and assists when it mattered most.

The Mullen Broncos made it clear from the beginning against Hyannis that they were not messing around. The Broncos scored the first 11 points of the game, at one point leading by as much as 20 points in the first half. They expanded on a 35-17 halftime lead and rolled to a 62-24 win.

The South Loup girls followed the footstep of the boys team, using a big second half to pick up a win against Cody-Kilgore. The teams were not separated by more than five points at any time in the first half, but South Loup shot the ball consistently well in the second half, distancing themselves from the Cowboys and picking up the 47-35 win.

With the championship games now set in the boys and girls brackets, the tournament is set to wrap up on Saturday.
