Mullen Broncos top Lawrence-Nelson in Class D2 semifinals

NELSON, Neb. (KNOP)--- Mullen is Memorial Stadium bound!
Taking on Lawrence-Nelson in the Class D2 semifinals Monday night. The Raiders had upset their entire way through the playoff bracket only earning an 11th seed.
They were leading Mullen even into the third quarter, really putting their foot on the Broncos at the half ahead 24-6, against a sandhills team that averaged over 45 points a game this season. But Mullen rallying back and the bronco d keeping the Raiders out of the end-zone the whole second half.
Mullen is currently ranked 7th in the state with their 12-0 undefeated record.
Mullen scoring 30 unanswered points in the second half against Lawrence-Nelson after trailing 24-6 at halftime.
The last time the Broncos made it to the state championship was in 2004 where they finished runners up.
They'll be facing Johnson-Brock in Lincoln on Monday, Nov. 19th at 10:15 A.M. cst.
