The games were all exhibition, but gave each team a chance to see how the players look before the season starts.

Both the Irish and the Panthers graduated a handful of seniors last season, and the Irish have a new head coach in Janet Victory. For the Mavericks, head coach Sandy Burke has to piece together a roster from two squads, for the first year of the co-op between Stapleton and McPherson County schools.

The Panthers and Mavericks both start their seasons on Thursday, with the Panther headed to Broken Bow to take on the Indians, and the Mavericks in the Maywood-Hayes Center triangular, taking on the Wolves, as well as Paxton.

The Irish will head to Overton on Saturday the participate in the Eagles' tournament. Their opponent is not yet known.
