NPCC Knights Volleyball to compete in Region IX Tournament

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. - The North Platte Community College Knights Volleyball Team finished their regular season with an overall record of 12-19 and are gearing up to play in the Region IX Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1-2. This year’s tournament will be hosted by Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Neb.

NPCC earned the first seed in the double elimination tournament, which is a first for the Knights since gaining the tutelage of head coach Alexa McCall. The NPCC Knights achieved this by beating out Central Community College for the top rank by three points.

Tournament play begins on Friday, Nov. 1, with the first seed Knights’ first match taking place at 6:30 p.m. against the winner of the 4:00 p.m. match between second seed Central Community College and third seed Southeast Community College.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, the third match is slated for 10:00 a.m. between the two losing teams
of Friday’s games, while match four is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. between Friday’s two winning teams. If necessary, a fifth and final match will take place at 7:00 p.m.
