NPCC women's basketball hosted fellow Region IX team Southeast Community College at McDonald-Belton Gymnasium on Saturday.

The game was close throughout, but poor shooting was the downfall of the Knights, as they shot seven of 40 in the second half, and lost 56-52.

Janay Brauer and Emily Joseph each had 15 points for the Knights. Ashley Hassett added six points, along with 13 rebounds. For the Storm, Maywood grad Jayden Widener had a double-double, scoring 17 points, and grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Knights fall to 8-8 on the season. They will be back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 14, hosting Northeastern Junior College.
