New Course to co-host the 2018 Lincoln County Shootout

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-- This year, golfers in the Lincoln County Shootout will have a new course to tee off at. Earlier this year River's Edge asked Iron Eagle if they wanted to team up.

"We Gladly Accepted. So, we're going to keep it going and hopefully make it better," Says Bill Hasemeyer, Assistant Manager at Iron Eagle.

The two day event bill begin Saturday, July 28th at Rivers Edge and finish Sunday, July 29th at Iron Eagle.

"It's about the fun for sure but the competitive nature comes out and people like to win so it's definitely about both." says Hasemeyer.

Facing tough competition some participants say they're just in it to lighten the mood.

"Just a chance to hangout with my buddies. I'm along for comic relief," says Tony Peal, a participant in the tournament.

No matter your skill level in golf organizers say there is a flight that suits your ability.

"There will be some really low scores and there will be some average scores and there will be some high scores but it's all for fun and good competition in flights. There's a flight for you; you don't have to be the greatest player to play. You'll always have a chance in a flight." says Hasemeyer.

Registry is $125 person/ $500 a team.
