The North Platte softball team came into Tuesday with a 4-5 record, and hosted Lexington for a doubleheader, hoping to get back over .500.

In game one, the Bulldogs scored 12 runs in the first three innings to run-rule the Minutemaids, thanks in part to a two-run home run from senior short stop Abby Orr.

In game two, mistakes costed the Bulldogs. The Minutemaids scored runs in the first and third innings because of Bulldog errors. However, the Bulldogs tied the game late, before falling in extras, 5-4.
