DENVER, CO. (KNOP) - For the first time in club history, the Flatrock 18-1 Team of North Platte qualified for the National Tournament in Dallas, Texas on April 21-23.

Head Coach, Lori Mau, says the team went in to the tournament ranked 75 out of 80 teams. She says they went undefeated the first day and 2-1 on day two. Mau says the record made them play a playoff game to make it to the top 16 team gold bracket.

She says they were able o defeat the number 1 seed on Sunday morning to set up their day. The team beat 303 Volleyball Academy to win the tournament.

Mau says, "This is the first time in the history of our club that this has happened. "

"I just love the excitement that this group had. What an experience for small town kids in the area!" says Mau.
