Thursday was the first day of the boys state basketball tournament out in Lincoln.
In the C1 bracket, the top-seeded Ogallala Indians found themselves trailing pretty much the entire game, but took their first lead of the game against Milford with under thirty seconds left in the game. The Indians came away with the 55-54.
Ogallala will play North Bend Central on Friday at 10:45 a.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
In Class D1, Paxton and Wauneta-Palisade played each other for the third time this season. Paxton had won the two prior matchups, and lead for most of the game. The Broncos were able to cut the Tigers' lead to as little as five, but that's all, as Paxton came away with the 63-45 win.
The Tigers will also play at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, that game is at Devaney, they will play Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.
