Ogallala and Paxton boys basketball were in action at Lincoln Southeast playing for third place at the state tournament.
In the C1 consolation game, the Indians took down Wahoo, 74-63. In D1, Paxton topped Elm Creek, 62-48.
Both teams finished in third place.
"I was proud of them, I think it's tougher to come back and play in a third place game, it's a test of your character, because you want to be in the one at nine o'clock. It takes some real mental toughness and grit to come out and still bring it when it's not necessarily where you want to be," said Ogallala coach Andy Gillen.
"Yesterday could've easily been the result on Thursday and we wouldn't have had any more games. So, we were one of the few teams that got the chance to play again on Saturday. No, it wasn't for the big trophy, but it was a game and you find out what you're made of, and what your character is, and these guys showed a lot of character. They came out ready to play," said Paxton coach Jody Rhodes.
