SUTHERLAND, Neb. (KNOP)--- Erica Hopping signed with North Platte Community College to serve primarily as a setter.
Coming from the outside hitter position in high school, Hopping says she has experience at the setting role from her time in club volleyball and also says she's looking forward to playing with a lot of local girls.
"Seeing those other girls that are sometimes across the net in high school really helped me decide that I do want to be on their team because those girls, they're very, they're good and they're talented. So that kind of pushed me to go and I get to meet all those girls and it helps it with more of a comfortable feeling going in. I'm not so blind-sited, I'll be a lot more comfortable going in," said Erica Hopping, senior setter signee.
She also said, "Just the overall community that NPCC provides. All of the history that they have, I mean I've been around them a lot and my sisters both went there and so that was a big factor. They've constantly been telling me how NPCC has positively impacted their life."
Hopping said she was looking at other schools but her heart was always with NPCC.
