Two Nebraska cowboys in top ten through six rounds at NFR

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KNOP) - Through six days of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, two Nebraska cowboys are in the top ten in their respective events.

Mullen cowboy Steven Dent sits in sixth place in bareback riding after competition on Dec. 10. Dent has a score of 510 on six head, and is 13.5 points behind leader Clayton Biglow of Clements, CA.

Gering's Riley Pruitt finished in second on Tuesday in tie-down roping with a time of 7.3 seconds. After six rounds, Pruitt is in seventh with a time of 63.3 seconds. Haven Meged of Miles City, MT is in first with a time of 50.4 seconds on six head.

For the 2019 season, Dent is in 14th in total earnings in the world in bareback riding and Pruitt is in third in tie-down roping.

The NFR runs through Saturday, Dec. 14.
