Salazar-Allen will study biology at NWU, with plans to become an orthopedic surgeon. She will be a middle hitter for the Prairie Wolves.

"They have a really good medical program, which is what I want to go into. I really like the coach, I think she was really nice, and I have two friends who are going there next year. I'm really excited to meet the girls and get to know them," Salazar-Allen said of her decision to commit to NWU.

Purdy will be throwing shot put and hammer for the Huskers, with the possibility of throwing discus as well. In the spring, Purdy will not only be graduating with a high school degree, but he hopes to complete an Associate's Degree through Mid-Plains Community College. At UNL, Purdy wants to get a Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, then get his MBA.

"Being born and raised in Nebraska, I've always wanted to go to UNL, and I went for a visit for track, and just kind of fell in love with the whole atmosphere, atmosphere of the track team, and Coach [Scott] Cappos, and Coach [Chris] Daniels," Purdy said on his decision to commit to Nebraska, "I sat in on a practice with them, and their practice atmosphere is amazing, so I'm really looking forward to that."
