NEBRASKAland Days parade draws crowds to North Platte streets

Residents lined the streets to see floats, greet local business owners, and meet representatives from around the state.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -The 2026 Nebraskaland Days parade was held in North Platte on Saturday.

Residents lined the streets to see floats, greet local business owners, and meet representatives from around the state.

U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts participated in the parade. Ricketts has been part of the Nebraskaland Days parade for many years.

“Parades really are part of how we build community. It brings people together,” Ricketts said. “And certainly in this age where a lot of people are on their cell phones. We need more things that get them to look up and be a part of the community. So, parades are more important than ever before.”

More than 100 floats participated in the parade.
